In May 2013 I was diagnosed with APML, and spent a lot of time in the hospital and at a clinic getting chemo treatments. Am in remission now and hopefully on the mend. I got the ribbon for me and my family who stood by me thru all the dark times.

    Luekemia Pins

Posted by Colann Callahan on May 13th 2011

On May 9, 2006 one of my best friends and coworkers lost her battle with Leukemia. This year marked the 5 year anniversary of her passing. To celebrate her life and to remember her passing, I bought pins for her friends and we held a memory service. The pins are of fantastic quality and everyone proudly wears them in memory. I will be ordering more for an upcoming fund raising event.

Thank you for the great customer service, quality product and the quick delivery!

    Leukemia

Posted by Renette Wilkinson on Jul 29th 2010

You asked me to share my story for purchasing the Leukemia pins. Well here goes.

I only had one Son and his name was Ray and he was only 28 years old, unmarried and no children. His father died 5 years ago in a motorbike accident. We started a business for him a year ago and things were going very well.

He started complaining about typical flu symptoms and stomach problems. He went to our local GP twice and received medication. He went back the third time and saw the partner who recognized the signs and he send him for blood tests to two different labs on the same day and we had to take him the following day for the bone marrow-test, due to the fact that they could not determine which Leukemia it was. It turned out to be Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

The following day we took him into the clinic where he got out of the car, carried his own bag up the stairs and checked into his room. I came back very early the next morning to take him to another hospital for sperm donation before they start the chemo treatment, only to find that he had gotten extremely ill during the night and they took him into ICU. The following morning he was heavily sedated and from there everything started going downwards and I never got to speak to my child again and he passed away 3 weeks later.

He was a healthy, strong, tall, rugby-player ?â???? went to the gym every morning ?â???? to say the least I was devastated and still trying to come to terms of what has happened.

That is my story in short. I have attached a photo of the two of us in happy times.

    I rate this 5/5.

I bought these pins to share with my family. My sister passed away from AML after a courageous fight. These pins are to constantly remind us of her and make more aware of Leukemia.

I bought these pins for myself and my family in rememberance of my father who passed away of Leukemia. We wear them proudly. It is a very nice pin and of very good quality for the price I paid. I have given this website to friends of mine who are going through similar situations who might be interested in purchasing these pins for themselves. Thank you for such a nice pin.
